Over several days you’ll dive into a perfect mix of learning, practice and creative exploration. We’ll work with natural light, models, unique landscapes and exercises designed to elevate your personal style – whether you’re an experienced professional or a photography lover ready to take the next step.

A one-day experience designed to ignite your creativity and reconnect you with photography, wherever you are on your journey.
Created for local photographers, creatives from other islands or travellers already in Fuerteventura who want an intense, hands-on, inspiration-filled experience.
In just a few hours we’ll work on light, composition, directing and natural portraiture in some of the island’s most iconic locations, always with professional guidance and a close, dynamic atmosphere.
Perfect for those who don’t have much time but have a strong urge to create, learn and feel that spark that started it all again. A shot of visual energy to go back home with powerful images and a mind lit up.

The Resident rate requires verification. If it’s not valid, you’ll be asked to pay the difference or the booking will be cancelled.

RETREAT: questions you’d ask (and we already answer)
What gear should I bring to get the most out of it?
If you’re a professional photographer, bring what you use most and what you perform best with: a manual-capable camera + 2 lenses (one versatile like 24–70 / 24–105 and one portrait lens like 50/85, or a 70–200 if you use it). Tripod optional.
If you’re not a photographer or you’re a beginner, come with what you have. You’ll learn that it’s not the price of your gear that makes the photo—it’s the eye behind it.
How do we work with the models? (turns, direction, timing)
We shoot in small groups and rotations, with guidance for direction, posing, pace, and safety—so everyone gets real time to create strong images.
What kind of photos will I take home?
Portfolio-ready work: hard light/contrast, golden hour, volcanic landscapes/dunes/cliffs, and storytelling. Built to bring you home images that position you—not just “nice travel pics”.
What if there’s strong wind, rough sea or calima? Do we cancel?
We adapt: timings, order, and locations change to use the best light and conditions.
And yes, what may feel “extreme” can be gold here: strong wind, big swells, or calima (Sahara sand wind) can create insane photo conditions. Rain won’t stop us either.
Can I use the photos for portfolio, socials and my website?
Yes: portfolio, socials and website are fine.
No: you can’t sell them or use them commercially without prior agreement and the models’ consent.
If there’s “sensitive” content, it’s agreed in advance to avoid misunderstandings.
On socials: not mandatory, but tagging the organization and models is appreciated.
Is there follow-up after the Retreat?
Yes: you’ll get a 1:1 online session to review your selections and guide your editing/portfolio—so your work becomes a solid outcome.
THE SPARK: things you want to know (even if you don’t say it)
Is it for me if I don’t have much time on the island?
Yes. Chispa is designed to get maximum output in one day, with guidance and two strong shoots (morning + afternoon). Perfect if you’re traveling or want to try before the Retreat.
What gear should I bring?
If you’re a professional photographer, this is where you can push your setup and have fun with focal lengths and style (manual-capable camera + a versatile 24–70 / 24–105 + a 50/85 or a 70–200 if you use it).
If you’re not a photographer or you’re a beginner, come with what you have—gear doesn’t make the photo, the eye does.
What’s the pace of the day? Will we be rushing?
We plan around flights and pick-ups so we rush less and shoot more.
Still... real talk: photography takes patience, and sometimes it also takes effort and a bit of sacrifice 🙂
How do you make sure everyone gets to shoot?
Rotations and small groups: each person gets space to direct and shoot.
Fewer people = more useful time per person.
Can I come on my own (no pick-up) and/or bring someone with me?
Yes. If you come on your own, we’ll send the meeting point and timing once logistics are confirmed.
You can bring one companion, but they must be a non-participant and must not take photos (unless asked for behind-the-scenes/support).
They also can’t interfere with the activity.
Can I publish the photos? Basic rules?
Yes: portfolio, socials and website are fine.
No selling or commercial use without prior agreement and the models’ consent.
If there’s “sensitive” content, it’s agreed in advance to avoid misunderstandings.
On socials: not mandatory, but tagging the organization and models is appreciated.
